Are YOU ready to join the FFH Family? The primary responsibility of the assistant store manager position is to manage the store in absence of the store manager.
The assistant store manager must exemplify the company's culture by consistently supporting and strengthening the basic philosophies of the company.
Being an assistant store manager requires strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise team members.
The assistant store manager will have expertise in company culture, merchandising, shrink control and operational aspects of the store.
A successful assistant store manager will be knowledgeable of the local market, customer base, seasonality opportunities, competitors and other specifics of the local market that may influence the business.
The assistant store manager is a role model, a leader, problem-solver, and strategic thinker, who can manage her/his time to achieve budgeted goals.
An assistant store manager will help the store manager drive sales and profits through merchandising, inventory management, expense control, human resource management and controlling operating costs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, Include but are not limited to:
A.
Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
B.
Assist store manager in promoting an aggressive sales culture with an intense focus on superior customer service.
C.
Responsible for maintaining a highly motivated team by assisting the store manager in hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplining and firing of team members; planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
D.
Maintains professionalism and positive store morale.
E.
Responsible for assisting the store manager in the execution and performance of all store job responsibilities through his/her key associates and/or his or her own actions.
F.
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
G.
Provides feedback to the office, i.
e.
buyers, district managers and all other company officials.
H.
Achieves financial objectives by assisting the store manager in the preparation of an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
I.
Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with actual as well as potential customers.
J.
Establish relationships and support local community groups consistent with company values.
K.
Solicits customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home Programs, i.
e.
loyalty program, extended warranties, financing and item of the month.
L.
Responsible for managing and protecting all inventory and company assets in accordance with company policy against theft and damage.
M.
Verifies merchandise is received, stored and merchandised in all departments according to established operational and safety procedures.
N.
Protects team members and customers while maintaining the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements and providing a safe and clean store environment.
O.
Assists store manager in determining marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
P.
Assists store manager in maintaining consistent operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
Q.
All other duties as assigned by store manager or company official.
Assistant Store Manager Requirements:
A successful assistant store manager must demonstrate excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
They will be able to manage with limited supervision.
Assistant store managers will need to have good oral/written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, vendors and other associates.
A successful assistant store manager must understand aggressive customer service and be team-oriented.
They must have good management and organizational skills.
Additionally, they must be able to understand and interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form and be able to use it effectively in assessing and coordinating the merchandise and operational aspects of store operations in the absence of the store manager.
They need be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Assistant store managers must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
They are able to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
They must be able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
