We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in maintaining the well-being of our furry guests.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising - Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas - Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to the manager/owner - Assist with administering medications as directed - Handle animals with care and compassion while ensuring their safety - Interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries
Experience:
- Experience in dog handling and animal care preferred - Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed - Customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners - Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is advantageous - Passion for pet care and willingness to learn about kennel operations This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about animal welfare to contribute to the well-being of our furry companions.
